Guests can browse all courses, watch public YouTube content, preview course outlines, and ask the AI tutor up to 5 questions per session. To unlock private video lessons, unlimited AI tutoring, quizzes, certificates, and community features, you'll need a membership.

Click Sign Up in the top-right corner. You can register with your email or sign in instantly with Google. After signing up, a short onboarding walkthrough will help you get oriented.

Yes — when you watch a video on CMI, we save your position automatically. The next time you open that lesson, playback picks up right where you stopped. You'll also see progress rings on the course outline showing how far along each lesson is.

Unfortunately, no. YouTube does not share your watch history with external platforms. If you watched a video on youtube.com or the YouTube app, CMI has no way to know your position. Progress is only tracked when you watch videos here on CMI. We recommend watching lessons directly on our platform so your progress, resume position, and completion status are all tracked accurately.

Yes. On any lesson or video page, click the bookmark or watch later button. You can find all your saved items from your dashboard.

While watching a lesson, you'll see an AI companion panel. You can ask it anything about the video content — it has access to the full transcript and can answer questions, generate quizzes, and explain concepts at your pace. Members get unlimited questions; guests are limited to 5 per session.

The AI tutor is powered by Claude and is designed to stay grounded in the lesson content. However, like all AI systems, it can occasionally make mistakes. If something seems off, we encourage you to verify with the source material or ask your instructor in the discussion thread.

Complete all lessons in a course and pass any required quizzes. Once you reach 100% progress, your certificate becomes available as a downloadable PDF from the course page.

You earn XP (experience points) as you learn: 10 XP per completed lesson and 25 XP per passed quiz. Your XP determines your level — from Beginner through Learner, Explorer, Achiever, and Master. Check the leaderboard to see how you rank.

Complete at least one lesson per week to maintain your streak. Your current streak is shown on your profile and dashboard. Streaks are a great way to build consistent learning habits.

Membership pricing is shown on the billing page. We offer flexible plans so you can choose what works for you. All plans include full access to private courses, unlimited AI tutoring, quizzes, and certificates.

Yes, you can cancel anytime from your billing settings. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period. Your progress and certificates are never lost.

We only request your email and basic profile info (name and photo) when you sign in with Google. We never access your Gmail, Drive, YouTube history, or any other Google data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
